Vintage Rattan Cane Rocking Swivel Chair with Josef Frank Fabric

A distinctive vintage cane armchair featuring an attractive sculptural frame and circular cane base. The chair both swivels and rocks back and forth, making it as comfortable as it is characterful.

The frame is made from honey-toned cane, with beautifully wrapped and detailed joints, curved arms and an elegant, enveloping backrest.

The chair is upholstered with generously padded, feather and down-filled cushions, which are exceptionally soft and comfortable. The cushions do not appear to be original to the chair, but they are finished in a beautiful, high-quality linen fabric featuring a colourful vintage pattern by renowned designer Josef Frank. The cushion covers have zip fastenings and can be removed for cleaning but they are in great condition.

The cane frame is in nice overall condition, with some minor scuffs and signs of use consistent with age.

A lovely statement chair that would work equally well in a living room, reading corner or relaxed interior.

Possibly made in the USA.
