Vintage Industrial Wooden Coffee Table

A vintage coffee table or side table with metal legs.
 
Underneath is is stamped L.C.C which I can only assume is from a school or college originally. It appears to be a bench to sit on but is quite low so I would use it as a coffee table.
 
It is in vintage nice condition, 1970's ca.
