Vintage Industrial Coffee Table Storage Box Trunk

A vintage wooden military storage chest.
 
It features some metal clips to hold the lid on and there is a rope at one end originally used as a handle.
 
There are now some new hairpin legs making it suitable for storage or as a coffee table and it has been cleaned and waxed inside and out.
Strong and sturdy.

Dated underneath 1945 and on the side 1956.
